CARPET MYTHS

Carpet myths.

Busting common carpet myths! Which one of these have you heard of (a million times) before?

1. Carpet is bad for allergies

Carpet actually acts as a natural filter, trapping pet dander, fur, dust and other allergens within the fibers. This prevents these particles from becoming airborne and circulating around your home. By capturing these allergens, carpets allow you to easily remove them with vacuuming which can help keep the air you breathe cleaner and reduce allergic reactions.

2. Carpet is hard to keep clean

Apart from occasional professional cleaning, regular vacuuming and spot cleaning are really all you need to keep pet allergens at bay and keep your carpet clean(no mopping required!). We recommend scheduling a professional cleaning at least once or twice a year to help maintain a healthier indoor environment.

3. Carpet wears too quickly

It is true that some carpets can show indications of traffic patterns over time, but there are easy ways to avoid this. Choosing low-pile carpet styles can help conceal any wear patterns. Occasionally rearranging furniture to change the walk paths through the room can also help decrease this visible wear.
